Just like any relationship, how you feel about your vehicle is built on trust. And when you can trust what you drive, you can feel the freedom to explore, to experience and to live more. To build this confidence, we look at people's real lives, and what drivers truly need to feel empowered behind the wheel. Then we come up with thoughtful solutions that put you in control, make you feel safe, and expand your ability to do the things you love with fewer limitations. Some say our solutions are simply smarter. Others just say, "I love my Subaru."

Road Rally September 2011

Subaru's were designed and built to be driven on curvy back country
roads where few dare to tread. Take 50 miles of VT back roads, a
few small country towns, mix in a Subaru lineup and it's time to have some
real fun!Space is limited and vehicles must be street legal.

What Is A Road Rally?

A road rally is a driving tour in the country, on well paved public roads where a group of people compete in a very casual outing for points to win prizes.
As each team leaves the "gate" they receive a "Rally Packet" which includes directions, scavenger hunt list, and tour questions.  Points are awarded for each scavenger hunt item collected and points are awarded for each question
answered correctly. The team with the highest score wins. We have pit stops scheduled for this road rally. A "Pit Stop" is a pre-designated stop where you can get out of your vehicle, stretch your legs and take a bathroom break. Our road rallies are in no way, shape or form, a race! The rallies are family oriented with no alcohol permitted before, during or after the event. We strive to take the contestants on the roads least traveled and we'll definitely take you to places that most people don't even know about.  We have been conducting rural road
rallies for the automobile enthusiast since 1979 and can almost guarantee your drive in the country with us will be enjoyable and a day to always remember.

The Subaru Zero Landfill Plant

In 2004, our Subaru of Indiana manufacturing plant became the first automotive assembly facility to be "zero landfill," meaning all waste is recycled or turned into electricity. In other words, a single-family home produces more waste in a day than our SIA plant does in a year.

Subaru Premiers "Gunning for Gold" Short Film in LA

277160_197152573675435_3394274_n

Los Angeles, CA., July 31, 2011 - Subaru of America, Inc. introduced a short documentary film about Subaru Rally Team USA and its climb to success. The film, "Gunning for Gold" features rally racing clips from the past year including some never before seen footage starring SRT USA drivers, David Higgins and Dave Mirra.

James Han, Subaru of America motorsports marketing manager, commented, "After wrapping up the 2011 Rally America National title last week, SRT USA has fully shifted efforts onto the upcoming X Games 17 weekend. Gunning for Gold is a short [film] that encapsulates the team's 2011 story to date which comprises both our stage rally and Global RallyCross racing campaigns."

Higgins and Mirra, look to add to the team's successes at X Games competing in the Rally Car and Rallycross events July 30th and 31st respectively. Higgins has already captured a bronze medal in the Rally Car event, his first X Games. Each will drive a 2011 Subaru Impreza WRX STI modified for Rallycross with an excess of 550 horsepower Boxer engine and Symmetrical All Wheel Drive. Former SRT USA driver, Travis Pastrana will pilot an identical Subaru WRX STI in the RallyCross event scheduled on Sunday.

Subaru has released "Gunning for Gold" on its YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/subaru) and on the company's Facebook page (www.facebook.com/subaruofamerica) for fans that could not make it to the event. Fans worldwide can also print out on the Facebook page and construct paper rally cars as their own souvenirs from Subaru's X Games efforts.
